  1. Open the Units tab and replace the sample rows with your own — one row per entry. Formulas fill in automatically for new rows.
  2. Set Status to Rented with the customer and due-back date when a unit goes out, and back to Available when it returns. Late returns turn red.
  3. Keep Days rented YTD current; Utilization under 30% (amber) is a candidate to sell or re-price.
  4. Using Google Sheets? Upload the file to Google Drive, then open it with Google Sheets (or File → Import in an open sheet). Formulas, dropdowns and highlights carry over.

The file opens locally on your device — nothing is uploaded, and you own the copy outright.
