Content Calendar in Content Creator

The Content Calendar is a copy-ready spreadsheet that puts every planned post — across every platform — into one view. Track each post's status from idea to drafting to scheduled to live, color-coded by platform, with month and week views, in both Google Sheets and Excel. Share it with editors and collaborators so the whole plan stays in sync.

  1. Open the Calendar tab and replace the sample rows with your own — one row per entry. Formulas fill in automatically for new rows.
  2. Plan each post with date, platform and format; move Status from Idea to Live. Past dates turn red if a post isn't live yet.
  3. Filter Week of for a weekly view, or Platform to see one channel at a time.
  4. Using Google Sheets? Upload the file to Google Drive, then open it with Google Sheets (or File → Import in an open sheet). Formulas, dropdowns and highlights carry over.

The file opens locally on your device — nothing is uploaded, and you own the copy outright.

Trust FAQ

Questions people ask before copying a template

Can I plan posts for multiple platforms in one calendar?
Yes. Each post gets a platform tag with color coding, so a single calendar shows your whole cross-platform plan in month or week view.
Does it publish posts for me?
No — it's a planning tool, not a scheduler. The smart workflow is to plan everything here and push only the finished posts into a scheduling tool like Buffer or Later for automatic publishing.
Is the Content Calendar free?
Yes, the core calendar is free to copy and keep in Google Sheets or Excel. There is no paid tier — the free download includes everything described here.
